WAS INJURED. SANDRA: THE BE CHECKING OUT THOSE SYRINGES TO SEE WHAT’S IN THEM. IT IS CLOUDY OUTSIDE. IT’S COOL AND RAINY. AMBER: WE COULD EVEN SEE MOUNTAIN SNOW OR I.C.E. LIDDED THUNDERSTORMS. IT’S THE FIRST DAY OF MAY AND IT’S A LATE-SEASON SYSTEM. THIS LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS SITTING OVER THE SOUTHLAND BRINGING IN THE COOL AND CLOUDY CONDITIONS. MOST OF IT WAS IN ORANGE COUNTY EARLIER. WITH OUR SATELLITE WERE STARTING TO SEE SOME ACTIVITY PUSHING AND ESPECIALLY OVER INVENTORY COUNTY WHERE WE HAVE HEAVIER SHOWERS STARTING TO MOVE IN AND IT’S DRIFTING A LITTLE MORE SELF HEADED OVER TOWARD THOUSAND OAKS. SANTA MONICA IS ALSO BEING HIT WITH SOME SHOWERS. YOU CAN SEE THAT COMING IN FROM OFFSHORE BECAUSE THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS SITTING RIGHT OF THE SOUTHLAND. YOU CAN SEE THE WEIGHTS TURNING COUNTERCLOCKWISE. WE ALSO HAVE A JET STREAM DRAGON RIGHT UNDER THE AREA. SO FAR, THESE NUMBERS ARE JUST FROM AN HOUR AGO, THEY’RE NOT THE LATEST NUMBERS BUT IT GIVES YOU AN IDEA. UP IN THE MOUNTAINS WE ARE SEEING A LITTLE MORE AROUND HALF INCH OF RAIN, LAKE FOREST IN ORANGE COUNTY FOR JUST OVER A QUARTER INCH, RIVERSIDE IN THE AIRPORT, SOUTHERN PORTION WHERE WE HAVE A RING GAUGE, THAT’S ALSO JUST OVER A TENTH OF AN INCH AND BARELY ANYTHING NEAR ONTARIO. ADDITIONAL SHOWERS MOVING IN AND THE SYSTEM IS STILL SITTING OVER THE AREA. THIS IS A COOL SYSTEM COMING IN FROM THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. THERE IS A CHANCE WE COULD SEE MOUNTAIN SNOW AND TEMPERATURES ARE ONLY FEELING IN THE LOW 50s FOR ONTARIO, 57 FOR DOWNTOWN L.A., 56 FROM LAX AND IF YOU WANT TO COMPARE TEMPERATURES TO THIS TIME YESTERDAY, WE ARE DEFINITELY MUCH COOLER. 18 DEGREES COOLER AND BIGBEAR. 12 FOR ONTARIO, TEN FOR VAN NUYS AND NINE FOR DOWNTOWN L.A. AND WE DO HAVE SOME LIGHT WINDS EXPECTED AND WE ARE EXPECTING A CHANCE FOR ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS OF THE MOUNTAIN. WE COULD SEE MORE OF THAT TOMORROW. SNOW LEVELS EXPECT TO DROP DOWN TO 5500 OR 6500 AS WE HEAD INTO THE AFTERNOON. WE COULD SEE A FEW INCHES OF SNOW ASSOCIATED WITH THE SYSTEM. BY THE TIME WE HAD INTO TONIGHT WE DO START TO SEE SNOW AND SLEET MOVING INTO THE MOUNTAINS OF SAN BERNARDINO AND IT STAYS WITH US UNTIL ABOUT TOMORROW AFTERNOON AND THEN THE SYSTEM SHOULD BE OUT OF HERE JUST IN
