CLICHE, ONE CLICHE. ONLY ONE, LOU. ONLY LOU. THANKS VERY MUCH, LOU. OUR LONNIE QUINN HAS THE LATEST FROM THE WEATHER CENTER. YOU HAD A TOUGH TIME GETTING HERE TODAY. I STAYED OVERNIGHT AT THE TV STATION LAST NIGHT. I’VE GOT A LITTLE BIT OF A COUGH BECAUSE I WENT HOME AND I HAD TO GET SOME SLEEP. I GOT HOME AT 11:00, AND I ARRANGED IT TAKE OVER FOR JOHNNY AT 3:00 SO I LAID DOWN AND GOT ABOUT TWO HOURS SLEEP. POPPED UP, OKAY, GOT TO HUSTLE. JUMPED IN THE SHOWER, JUMP OUTSIDE OBVIOUSLY AT THIS POINT IN TIME THEY SUSPEND CABS, SUSPEND ALL THE CARS AT 2:30, RIGHT. I CAN’T GET AN UBER OR A CAB. THAT’S NOT HAPPENING SO I GO TO THE SUBWAY. AND AGAIN IT’S JUST NOT HAPPENING. IT’S LIKE A GHOST TOWN. IT’S EITHER THAT PEOPLE ARE JUST NOT OUT AND ABOUT OR THERE’S JUST NOT A SUBWAY COMING AND IT’S TOO CLOSE TO GETTING ON THE AIR WITH YOU AT 3:00. I RIDE THE BIKE, CINDERELLA. I RODE THE BIKE HERE. I WILL SAY THIS, NOBODY WAS ON THE ROADS AND I WAS RIDING THE BIKE. LET’S NOT SUGGEST ANYBODY RIDE THE BIKE RIGHT NOW IN NEW YORK CITY. LET ME SHOW YOU WHAT I’VE GOT FOR THE WEATHER WATCHERS, BECAUSE THIS IS WHERE YOU GUYS ARE WORTH YOUR WEIGHT IN GOLD TO ME BECAUSE YOU CAN REPORT ON WHAT’S GOING ON IN YOUR BACKYARD. YOU CAN SEND ME PICTURES. THE BIGGEST THING I’D LIKE TO GET TO, TEMPERATURES OUT THERE, I’D LOVE TO SEE YOUR SNOW DEPTH. IF YOU CAN GET THOSE TO ME, THOSE WOULD BE GREAT. I HAVE A 15.1 RIGHT NOW COMING IN FROM LISA, IN MORTON, NEW JERSEY, 33 MINUTES AGO. YOU’RE CATCHING A PRETTY GOOD BAND OVER YOUR AREA RIGHT NOW. UPDATE THAT FOR ME AND GET BACK TO ME. BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE COOL TO SEE WHAT YOU WENT FROM IN JUST 33 MINUTES. NEW YORK CITY, WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE OUT THERE? IT LOOKS LIKE — LET’S USE LOU YOUNG’S TERM. LET’S SAY A WINTER WONDERLAND. I’LL SAY THIS MUCH ABOUT THE WINDS COMBINED WITH THE BLIZZARD CONDITIONS. IT’S SO NORTH POLISH OUT THERE. THIS IS THE DEFINITION OF WHAT A BLIZZARD IS. WE WERE TALKING A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO. IF YOU EVER GET A BLIZZARD WITHOUT FALLING SNOW? ABSOLUTELY. YOU DON’T EVEN HAVE TO HAVE FALLING SNOW FOR A BLIZZARD. IT JUST HAS TO PICK THAT SNOW UP AND BLOW IT AROUND AND LIMIT YOUR VISIBILITY TO A MILE OR LESS. THAT’S WHAT WE’RE DOING AROUND HERE. SNOW TOTALS ARE A BIG STORY. LAGUARDIA, RIGHT NOW, COMES IN AT 16.5. CENTRAL PARK 14.7. JFK, 14.5. STATEN ISLAND 14. MIDDLE VILLAGE, 14 INCHES. WHAT WILL WE ADD TO THAT? I THINK WE’LL GET TO THAT FOOT AND-A-HALF TO 2 FEET. IT’S GOING TO HAPPEN. THERE’S MORE AVAILABILITY OUT THERE AS FAR AS MOISTURE WITH THIS STORM AND TRACK OF THIS STORM. SPEAKING OF TRACK, EITHER ONE OF YOU GUYS REMEMBER YESTERDAY WHEN I PUT THE BIG MAP OF OUR AREA UP, AND I DREW A LITTLE TEENY TINY CANAL. ANYBODY REMEMBER THIS? A 35-MILE-WIDE CANAL. I SAID THE MAN IS PUTTING UP THESE CRAZY NUMBERS. GUESS WHERE THE STORM WENT. IN THE CANAL. CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS? THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE STUFF, AND THAT’S WHY YOU HAVE TOTALS LIKE THIS. 16 IN WHITING, NEW JERSEY. HARRISON 12.3. NUTTILY AT 11. WEATHER WATCHERS, DO YOUR THING. RECORD THESE NUMBERS. GET THEM TO ME SO I CAN GET THEM ON THE MAPS FOR EVERYBODY. MASSAPEQUA. CONNECTICUT, FURTHER NORTH, NOT SO MUCH CLOSER TO THAT CANAL THAT I DREW, AND YOU’RE LOOKING AT 6.5. STANFORD, CONNECTICUT, 6. GREENWICH AT 6. BRIDGEPORT 6.5. KEEP IN MIND, WE’RE DEALING WITH THIS STORM RIGHT — IT GOT HERE EARLIER THAN ANTICIPATED SO THE STORM YOU PICKED UP WAKING UP THIS MORNING, I WAS REFERRING TO THAT AS BONUS SNOW, IF YOU WILL. LIKE PRE GAME. TODAY IS YOUR SUPER BOWL. PRE GAME STUFF YOU PICKED UP LAST NIGHT IN THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. THIS STORM IS STILL CHURNING AWAY OUT THERE. WAY DOWN BY ATLANTIC CITY, WE’VE SEEN AN OCCASIONAL DRY SLOT HERE OR THERE. STILL GOING PRETTY DARN HARD OUT THERE. THERE’S A DRY SLOT. THAT’S THE SORT OF THING I WANT TO ILLUSTRATE. THAT WAS ALSO PART OF MY FORECAST. LET’S OWN IT. LET’S OWN IT FOR WHAT WE GIVE AS OUR FORECAST. I FELT THAT DRY SLOTS WOULD PLAY A ROLE IN THE NUMBERS. A BIG SNOW BALL MOVING OVER THE AREA, YOU’LL GET THE GIANT TOTALS. I BELIEVE IT’S GOING TO BE A LITTLE BIT MORE TRIATED. LITTLE BANDS OF HEAVY SNOW AND DRY SLOTS. WELL, THERE’S MY DRY SLOT. IT’S WHAT MOTHER NATURE IS GIVING YOU FOR THE DRY SLOTS. NOT MUCH OF THEM OUT THERE. I CAN’T FIND THEM REALLY ANYWHERE, CRAWFORD, MAYBE ANOTHER ONE, BUT IT’S A GOOD CLIP OF SNOW THROUGHOUT THE AREA. LOOK AT THIS, THIS IS FUN, YOU SEE THIS BRIGHT WHITE COLOR FROM TROY HILLS OVER TO RANDOLPH. THIS IS THE COLOR ON THE RADAR WHEN IT SHOWS THE SNOW COMING DOWN AT ABOUT AN INCH AN HOUR. THAT IS WHAT WE ARE DEALING WITH. BIGGER PICTURE. I WANT TO COME BACK HERE A LITTLE BIT LATER ON. GIVE YOU 10 MINUTES OR SO, BECAUSE I’VE GOT TO DIG INTO THE OLD MAPS FROM YESTERDAY. I WANT TO PUT THIS VERY SAME MAP UP RIGHT HERE. I WANT TO SHOW YOU THE RADAR PICTURE RIGHT HERE. I AM THEN GOING TO PUT — YOU CAN SEE WHERE THE CENTER OF THE STORM IS BY THE ROTATION HERE. I’M GOING TO ERASE IT AND SHOW YOU WHERE THAT CANAL WAS YESTERDAY AND IT’S RIGHT ON TOP OF IT. SO THAT BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL TOMORROW MORNING, WINTER STORM WARNINGS NORTH OF OUR AREA, AND THESE ARE NUMBERS I’M STICKING WITH. OKAY. SEMANTICS. THESE ARE THE NUMBERS I’M GOING WITH NOW. 2:00 IN THE MORNING, WE BUMPED EVERYTHING UP. WHEN I WAS WITH YOU LAST NIGHT AT 11:00, I HAD A 9 TO 15 FOR NEW YORK CITY. I’VE NOW GOT NEW YORK CITY SPLIT BETWEEN A 12-18, AND 18- 24. SO TWO FEET.
