SIGN OF LIGHTNING THEY WILL BRING EVERYONE INSIDE IMMEDIATELY. I JUST FELT MY FIRST DROP OF RAIN. FACT YOU. PAT: IT’S VERY UNUSUAL WEATHER. SHE WAS TALKING ABOUT SOME CANCELLATIONS OF EVENTS BECAUSE OF LIGHTNING. THE HUNTINGTON BEACH SURF OPEN HAS BEEN CANCELED. IN FACT THEY ARE EVACUATING HUNTINGTON BEACH BECAUSE OF THE LIGHTNING. JACKIE: THAT IS GOOD NEWS THAT THEY ARE EVACUATING. ALL OF THE STORMS THAT STARTED INLAND ARE NOW PUSHING TO THE WEST AND MOVING PRETTY QUICKLY. EVERYWHERE IS UNDER THE THREAT OF NOT ONLY FLOODING RAINS BUT LIGHTNING AND OF COURSE, JUST THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY. YOU CAN SEE RIGHT NOW, THIS IS A LIVE RADAR. THIS IS ACTUAL LIGHTNING THAT IS HAPPENING AS WE SPEAK. IT REALLY KICKED UP THIS AFTERNOON AND THE STORMS ARE MOVING ABOUT 30 MILES PER HOUR. IT IS A FAST-MOVING STORM. THEY ARE PACKED WITH HEAVY RAIN AND IN FACT, SO HEAVY WE STILL HAVE A FLASH FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FOR RIVERSIDE COUNTY. THAT’S RIGHT HERE IN THE RED CIRCLE. MAINLY LAKE ELSINORE RATE AROUND THE 15. WE’VE GOT HEAVY RAIN AND THAT’S JUST BEEN SITTING THERE SO THEREFORE, THAT FLASH FLOOD WARNING WILL STAY IN EFFECT THROUGH 6:45 P.M. NOT ONLY THAT WAS THAT FLASH FLOOD WATCHES IN EFFECT ALL THE WAY THROUGH TOMORROW NIGHT BECAUSE WE EXPECT THE SAME SORT OF MONSOONAL ACTIVITY TO START UP AGAIN BY TOMORROW AFTERNOON WITH THE HEATING OF THE DAY. KEEP IN MIND, INLAND IS WHERE WE START TO SEE THE THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS. AT THE COAST, WE SEE MORE ACTIVITY THIS TIME OF YEAR OVERNIGHT INTO THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. AGAIN, WE ARE ALL UNDER THIS THREAT. WE CAN SEE ALL OF THE LIGHTNING STRIKES NORTH OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, ALSO, JUST TO THE NORTH OF HIDDEN SPRINGS WE’VE GOT HEAVIER CELLS. AGAIN, DANIELLE’S READING FOR RAIN AND SHE WILL GET SOME OVER THE NEXT HOUR AS THOUGH STORMS MOVE TO THE WEST. NOW, KEEP IN MIND, IT IS VERY HOT AND HUMID. THESE ARE RAIN COOLED 84 DEGREES IN SAN BERNARDINO AND STILL AT 103 DEGREES IN VAN NUYS. HUMIDITY IS HIGH SO IT’S VERY MUGGY. WE WILL STILL HAVE A 20% CHANCE OF TONIGHT, EVEN THROUGH TOMORROW. IT WILL REMAIN HOT AND HUMID. TOMORROW WILL BE EVEN HOTTER THAN TODAY. WE HAD RECORD HEAT THE PAST FEW DAYS. WE EXPECT MORE OF IT OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS. TEMPERATURES AGAIN ON THE WARM SIDE. MANY AREAS GETTING EVEN WARMER THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY. WE WILL HAVE LESS OF A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY TO THE END OF THE WORKWEEK. BY THE WEEKEND WE DRY OUT AND START COOL DOWN. TEMPERATURES WILL BE BACK TO NORMAL BY NEXT WEEK AND THIS WEEKEND. THAT’S GREAT NEWS. AGAIN NOT GREAT NEWS THAT WE HAVE GOT THE THREAT OF THIS SORT OF ACTIVITY, VERY DANGEROUS THUNDERSTORMS AND FLOODING INTO THE NEXT FEW DAYS FOR THE IE, THE HIGH DESERT AND MOUNTAIN LOCATIONS. THE GOOD NEWS IS, WE DRY UP THIS WEEKEND AND COOL DOWN BUT
