SEVERE SIDE AND TALK ABOUT SEVERE WEATHER OVER THE COUNTRY. >>ABSOLUTELY, AND WE HAD SOME OVERNIGHT. I THOUGHT WE WERE GOING TO HAVE VIDEO. WE HAD HAIL IN PARTS OF TENNESSEE AND WE HAVE ANOTHER TOUGH DAY AHEAD OF US. IT’S BEEN AWHILENESS IS WE TALKED ABOUT TORCON LEVELS. AND THAT IS A TORCON OF 5 AND WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? THAT IS A PERCENTAGE CHANCE. FOUR OUT OF 10 CHANCE IN ATLANTA AS AN EXAMPLE. TO SEE A AY FROM YOU AND THE OUTSIDE INTO THE ROOM. START THINKING AND TALKING ABOUT THE KIDS FOR THAT. AGAIN, TOMORROW IS GOING TO BE DICEY. WEEK. IT’S PART OF THIS ONGOING STORY HERE. THIS IS THE WESTERN STORMINESS AND AS FAR SOUTH AS LOS ANGELES. BRINGING THE FLOOD THREAT FROM WEEKEND AND THE WEEK AHEAD. THAT INVOLVES’S LOT OF STORMINESS ON BOTH ENDS OF THE TRACKING ACROSS, PARTS OF THE SOUTH. YOU SEE THE RAIN AND THE AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IN TEXAS. AND INTO THAT BOUNDARY. WE HAVE TORCONS ON THE MAP TOMORROW. THE HIGH PRESSURE DOMINATING FROM THE GREAT LAKES INTO THE NORTHEAST. YOU CAN SEE THE BEAUTIFUL SUNSHINE AND THAT IS CHILLY, THOUGH. BOSTON, YOU’RE GETTING TO FREEZING TODAY AND THAT IS A COLD, SAINT PATRICK’S DAY PARADE. SPEAKING OF COLD, A LOT OF MOUNTAIN SNOW ACROSS THE WEST AND POTENTIAL FLOODING OF . >>TIME NOW FOR YOUR WINTER WEATHER UPDATE. THEIR GREG POSTEL HERE AND WE HAVE WINTER WEATHER TWO DAYS AWAY FROM SPRING. >>MIDWEEK AGAIN. >>RIGHT. >>AND SEEM LIKE LAST MIDWEEK WE HAD TO DEAL WITH SOMETHING. THIS MID-WEEK, YES, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY AND WATCH OUT FOR ACCUMULATING SNOW. THIS IS A SLUSHY. >>RIGHT. >>AND NOT SUPER COLD ON THE BORDER LINE BETWEEN RAIN AND SNOW. WHAT JEFF ACCUMULATES. IT COULD BE A SLUSHY MESS. >>WE HAVE SEEN THE EVOLUTION THE LAST FEW DAYS. THERE IS A DEFINITE NORTHEAST CONTINGENCY. IT’S FAR WILL BE OTHER PARTS ACROSS THE SOUTH AS WELL. THERE IS A LOT TO GET TO ON THIS SUNDAY AND A BUSY AFTERNOON HERE AND INTO TOMORROW. WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE REPORTS THERE YOU HAVE HALF-DOLLAR SIZE HAIL AND THAT IS DEFINITELY ENOUGH TO DO SOME DAMAGE ON CARS AND STRUCTURES. THEN YOU SEE THIS CLUSTER OF REPORTS AND PARTS OF THE TENNESSEE VALLEY AND MID- ATLANTIC. THIS INCLUDES FUNNEL CLOUDS AND DAMAGING WINDS, SOME OF THOSE THUNDERSTORMS CAME THROUGH JUST IN TIME FOR THE AFTERNOON POSSIBLY CANCELING GAMES AND THERE WERE SIZABLE STORMS HERE AND THERE OVERNIGHT. NOTICE THERE ARE NO RED OR YELLOW BOXES AND THERE ARE NO STORMS WITH WARNINGS CURRENTLY. THEY ARE PUTTING DOWN A LOT OF HEAVY RAIN AND YOU CAN SEE THAT HAPPENING RIGHT HERE. ALEXANDRIA YOU ARE STILL HEARING THAT THUNDER AND SEEING THAT LIGHTNING AND TORRENTIAL RAINFALL COMING DOWN AND DRIFTING OFF TO THE EAST. THE PROBLEM IS IN THE SHORT TERM WITH THE FLASH FLOODING BUT WITH STORMS THROUGHOUT THE DAY THOSE RIVERS AND STREAMS ARE ALREADY HIGH AND THAT WILL BE A CONCERN TOO. FOCUSING ON THAT SEVERE POTENTIAL TODAY.CITY, — ALL THE WAY INTO WESTERN ALABAMA THE PRIMARY THREAT IS DAMAGING WINDS, HAIL AND HEAVY RAINFALL. WE CANNOT RULE OUT ISOLATED TORNADOES TODAY AND THAT THREAT RAMPS UP AGAIN INTO THE EARLY PART OF T AND THAT NUMBER IS NOW DOWN TO BUT THE IDEA IS IT WAS ACTIVE YESTERDAY. WE HAD SOME BIG THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE RALEIGH AREA AND TO THE NORTH I’M SURE YOU HEARD THE RUMBLES AND SAW THAT RAINFALL TAKING OVER INTERSTATE 95. THEY GOT HAIL, GUSTY WINDS AND ALSO SOME TREE DAMAGE SO IT WAS AN INTERESTING SET UP THERE. WE ARE WATCHING FOR THE POTENTIAL OF STRONGER STORMS AGAIN TAKING SHAPE ACROSS THE SOUTH. WE HAVE BEEN WATCHING THIS AREA MOVE INTO ALEXANDRIA AND THIS BREAK IS GOOD BECAUSE THIS NASTY WEATHER HAS BEEN OVER YOU THE LAST FEW HOURS. NOTHING SEVERE AND THERE IS NO FLASH FLOOD WARNING HOWEVER A LOT OF AREAS HAS GROUNDING THAT IS SATURATED WHICH COULD CREATE PROBLEMS. JACKSON IF YOU ARE MAKING THAT DECISION TO HEAD OUT OR SIT TIGHT I SAY HEAD OUT ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE DRIVING EASTBOUND. THAT HEAVY RAIN WILL CATCH UP WITH YOU SHORTLY. FOR THE BIG PICTURE WE ARE NOT JUST GOING TO SEE STORMS THIS MORNING BUT INTO THIS EVENING AND THAT IS ALL THE WAY FROM DODGE CITY, DALLAS INTO JACKSON. WE WANT TO
