EVENT NEAR YOU. JENNIFER: HOPEFULLY SOME OF THE NICE WEATHER WILL BE BACK I THAN. NATASHA: WHEN WE LOOK AT THE LONG MODELS, ACCURACY IS KIND OF THEY ARE, KIND OF NOT, BUT YOU LOOK 10 DAYS OUT, THERE MIGHT BE A SERIES OF DAYS WHERE THERE IS SUNSHINE. JEFF: HALLELUJAH. JENNIFER: I KNOW YOU DON’T LIKE LOOKING THAT FAR OUT. NATASHA: THE ACCURACY 10 DAYS OUT IS JUST NOT THERE. SO IF ANYBODY CLAIMS, I’VE GOT A 10 DAY FORECAST — JENNIFER: DON’T LISTEN TO THEM. YOU ARE FOCUSING ON THE WEEKEND. NATASHA: A LOT OF RAIN ON THE WAY A FEW DAYS OUT FROM NOW, SO ENJOY TODAY AND TOMORROW, WE WILL BE RAIN FREE. TEMPORARILY. 66 DEGREES LINCOLN CITY, A GORGEOUS SITE, WAVES NOT TOO BIG , THE WIND NOT TOO STRONG, JUST PERFECT. TOMORROW GETS EVEN WARMER AT THE COAST, AND INLAND TOO . PORTLAND, 74 RIGHT NOW, THE WIND OUT OF THE NORTHWEST AT THREE MILES PER HOUR, SUNSET IS AT 7:29, SUNRISE TOMORROW 6:44. LOOK AT THE NUMBERS ACROSS THE STATE. 74 PENDLETON, THE DALLES, 77, NEWPORT 63. WE GOT QUITE A BIT OF RAIN DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU WERE YESTERDAY. TODAY, NO RAIN TO REPORT. BUT OUR MONTH TO DATE TOTAL AT PDX, 8/10 OF AN INCH, A SURPLUS OF NEARLY 3/10 OF AN INCH, SO ABOVE NORMAL FOR MONTH TO DATE RAINFALL TOTALS. FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR WE ARE STILL BEHIND BY 4.5 INCHES ROUGHLY. WILL WE MAKE UP FOR THAT? EVERY TIME WE GET A RAIN EVENTS, WE GET CLOSER TO MAKING UP FOR IT, BUT WOULD WE GET FOUR INCHES OF RAIN THROUGH THIS NEXT SYSTEM? I DON’T THINK SO, BUT MAYBE 1.5 OR MAYBE EVEN TWO INCHES. HERE IS THIS AREA OF LOW PRESSURE SPENDING IN THE GULF OF — LOW PRESSURE SPINNING IN THE GULF OF ALASKA. THE RAIN WE GET FRIDAY WILL BE PRETTY LIGHT. THURSDAY, YOU ARE IN THE CLEAR FOR THE AFTERNOON, RAIN ARRIVES LATE IN THE EVENING THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING, 5:00 IN THE MORNING, RAIN STARTING TO TRICKLE IN FROM THE NORTHWEST AND THEN SPREADING OUT FROM THERE. FRIDAY NIGHT WE DRY OUT. SATURDAY WE ARE DRY BUT CLOUDY, COOLER. SUNDAY MORNING, HERE IS THE BIG STUFF. THIS IS ARRIVING AT 6:00 IN THE MORNING, FIRST COMING FROM THE NORTHWEST AND THEN SPREADING ACROSS THE STATE. WE GET THROUGH MONDAY, MORE RAIN, AND WITH MONDAY’S REIGN WE MIGHT BE HAVING INSTABILITY, SO THERE IS A POTENTIAL WE COULD BE TALKING ABOUT THUNDERSTORMS AGAIN. WE EXPECT THAT RAIN TO STICK AROUND THROUGH TUESDAY. FRIDAY, MAYBE 1/10 OF AN INCH OR ONE QUARTER OF AN INCH, BUT TAKE A LOOK AT HOW THE NUMBERS GROW MONDAY AND TUESDAY, ANYWHERE FROM ONE INCH TO ONE INCH AND A HALF, AND PLACES LIKE TILLAMOOK COULD GET TWO INCHES, MAYBE 2.5 INCHES ON THE HIGH-END. THESE ESTIMATES COULD CHANGE QUITE A BIT, AT THAT IS SIGNIFICANT AT THIS POINT. DAYTIME HIGHS AT THE COAST, LOW 70’S OUT THERE, INLAND VALLEYS UP TO 80, 81, CORVALLIS, SALEM, PENDLETON TOMORROW, 85. OVERNIGHT TEMPERATURES, BURNS STARTS OFF IN THE LOW 40’S, MID-40’S BAKER CITY, 49 BEND WITH A HIGH TOMORROW OF 82, HOOD RIVER 83, THE DALLES 86, GOVERNMENT CAMP 71. FOR YOUR SEVEN-DAY FORECAST , THINGS ARE LOOKING PRETTY GOOD. IF YOU ARE LOOKING AT TOMORROW , MOSTLY SUNNY, THAT IS THE KEY, MOSTLY SUNNY. BUT IN THE MORNING YOU MAY WAKE UP TO DENSE FOG IN THE VALLEY, BUT THAT SHOULD NOT STICK AROUND FOR TOO LONG OR GET IN THE WAY OF A GORGEOUS DAY IN THE 80’S. AND THEN WE HAVE MID-60’S ALL THE WAY THROUGH NEXT WEDNESDAY. JEFF: CLEANUP, THE RAIN IS COMING.
