Hey this is Brian with the National Weather
Service in Eureka California. It’s Tuesday afternoon and I want to talk about the week
of weather ahead. Tomorrow is going to be a big day of weather, lots of wind, lots of
rain. Strongest wind will be along the coast at coastal headlands. Tie your loose items
down. Rain may cause local urban or small stream flooding. We do not expect any significant
rises to monitor or flood stages on the main stem rivers. After the systems move through
on Thursday we are looking at the possibility of thunderstorms with small hail. Driving
can be challenging during any hail storms, of course, so let up on the gas if you are
out and find hail. And then we have large surf coming in. We
could see breakers up to 30 feet. And this could cause issues with coastal flooding.
There might be some water and waves that wash over roads by the time we get to late Thursday
morning with the high tides. Stay tuned to our Twitter and Facebook feeds and find us
on the web at weather.gov/eureka
